What, where and when is the tournament?
The Gentlemen of the North Veterans 10s Tournament is a 10-a-side rugby tournament for players over 35 ('Old Boys') that get as excited about beer as they do about rugby! Ideally very excited about both!
Our club is in the heart of the best city in the UK, Edinburgh.
Our pitches are so close to the city centre we can see Edinburgh castle.
We have bars, restaurants, hotels and nightclubs nearby.

Who is at the tournament in 2026?
We are hoping to host social veterans teams from Scotland and England and also overseas: The Netherlands? Ireland? France? Italy? Switzerland? Elsewhere?.....and maybe even the USA?!?! Come and join us and be part of something a bit special!

There will be delicious beer. In Scotland, it rains beer....and sometimes whisky.
Tournament History
We held our very first Gentlemen of the North Veterans 10s Tournament in 2025. Six teams competed from as far away as Hungary to win the coveted Old Cock Cup. The winners were the Puffin Gannets (Scotland).
After the rugby all the teams thoroughly enjoyed participating in the legendary hospitality offered by our clubhouse, affectionately known as The Bunker. Nothing beats a relay race....
We only want to play sexy rugby, will this be possible?
Veterans rugby is always sexy. We only play sexy rugby. Just like this guy.
